If you are, then, risen with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your sights on the things above, not on the things of the earth. (Colossians 3: 1-2) I have seen all the works that have been done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and running after the wind. (Ecclesiastes 1.14) The other day, in the middle of the month, there was a time of prayer: When I looked up, the day was cloudy, but the moment I looked out of the window the sun illuminated an area where there was installed a street market. The Lord showed me what the text of Ecclesiastes meant; I received it as a personal revelation: All that is under heaven is vanity. I received as something personal and profound that everything that was illuminated by the sun had been declared vain by the Word. The eagerness of men to prosper, human relations contaminated by selfishness, the customs of peoples, culture: Everything is destined to go through fire (see 2 Peter 3. 10-12). Then the Lord spoke to me of the state of my spiritual life and, consequently, of the state of the church, our spiritual mother. The people of God have a vision deeply contaminated by the perception of what is under the sun. The river of our projects and purposes are deeply anchored in what is under heaven, with a vision far removed from that of God. The church lives under the sun, anchored and tied to everything that is under the sun, and with a vision too limited by the vanity of what surrounds us. Man has eaten from the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil, and this has produced a profound deformation of his vision of reality: The center of our knowledge is not God, the tree of Life, but the pudoroso Law, the good and the bad, that centers us in ourselves: That is religion, the pudoroso effort to improve ourselves without going through repentance and the return to Life. For this Solomon, looking at what was under the sun, after From a life dedicated to seeking wisdom, to having known fame and prosperity, I came to the conclusion that everything that was under the sun was vain, profoundly vain. The crosshairs of the church: Our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12.2) Seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God (Colossians 3.1) Transform through the renewal of your mind (Rm12.2) The work of the Spirit in the church, and therefore in the life of each leader Christian, responsible, believer …, before to give way to the ministry of the church of the last days will be a profound renewal of our way of valuing reality, of thinking, a profound reform of our priorities and criteria. Our criteria, contaminated by the tree of knowledge, are centered on a pudoroso reform, on a search for the blessings of God; In this way, the Christian believes that a material good, a position of honor, or social prestige, material prosperity, etc …, are unmistakable signs of God's blessing. This criterion leads us without a doubt to seek blessings instead of seeking God, and the result is that we are more centered on ourselves, instead of being centered on Jesus. So the work of preparation of the church by the Spirit passes. by a profound reform in the way of valuing the blessing of God, in a profound change of our value system: The focus of our interest will be the person of Jesus, and the Spirit will impregnate us with the values of Heaven, with the In order to give value to what God gives value, and to learn to call vain that which God calls vain. In the same way, this reform in our thinking will also touch our study of the Word; we will go from trying to understand to justify our doctrinal position, to study the Word to discover the author of the Bible, the Spirit: Our interest will be to eat from the Tree of Life, rather than from the Tree of Knowledge. Then we will stop living the eternal Christian tension between reason and the Spirit, and we will simply leave our reason to be influenced, to be directed by Revelation, to understand God with the mind of Christ (see 1 Co 2.16). Likewise, evangelization will live a reform in its form and content; the purpose of evangelization will no longer be to make our church grow, but to be putting men in contact with Jesus Christ. When we have converted, we have given our heart to the Lord, and that is fine, but we have continued to think how people of the world, which has continually caused problems in the church, authentic blurs in the vision. The Spirit wants to renew and reform the values of the church, to give way to a movement of the Spirit never seen before. The Lord is going to uproot us from our vain vision of reality, to make us understand reality from a new point of view; the one of the Sky, in which Christ is seated to the right of the Father.
